Lifetime Structural Warranty

At CyberMetals®, we proudly stand behind the structural integrity of every wheel we design. Our aluminium alloy wheels are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty for the original purchaser when purchased directly from CyberMetals.

In addition, eligible factory-applied finishes are covered by a separate 1-Year Finish Warranty, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

1. Warranty Overview & Scope

The Lifetime Structural Warranty covers:

  • Structural failure, including cracking or breakage, caused by verified manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship;
  • Structural failures arising under normal on-road use where the wheels are used within the applicable vehicle load, fitment, and installation requirements.

This warranty does not cover cosmetic wear, surface deterioration, impact damage, misuse, incorrect installation, or other external causes unless otherwise required by law.

2. Conditions for Warranty Eligibility

To qualify for warranty consideration, the following conditions must be met:

  • The wheels must remain in their original condition and must not have been welded, machined, refinished, repainted, powder-coated, or otherwise modified without prior written approval from CyberMetals;
  • The wheels must have been correctly installed using appropriate wheel nuts, bolts, hub rings, and other required fitment components;
  • Wheel fasteners must have been tightened to the applicable vehicle manufacturer torque specifications;
  • The wheels must have been used within the approved load and fitment specifications for the relevant vehicle;
  • Proof of purchase must be provided, including the original order number, invoice, or other purchase record;
  • The wheels must have been used under normal and lawful on-road driving conditions.

Use in motorsport, racing, drifting, off-road applications, commercial transport, overloaded vehicles, or other high-impact environments is excluded unless expressly approved by CyberMetals in writing.

3. Structural Warranty Exclusions & Limitations

The Lifetime Structural Warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Kerb impact, potholes, road debris, collisions, accidents, or other external impact;
  • Incorrect installation or the use of incompatible wheel nuts, bolts, hub rings, spacers, adaptors, or other fitment components;
  • Over-torquing, under-torquing, loose fasteners, or improper wheel installation;
  • Use outside the applicable wheel load rating or vehicle fitment requirements;
  • Racing, drifting, motorsport, off-road use, commercial transport, or overloaded applications;
  • Unauthorised welding, machining, repair, refinishing, powder-coating, repainting, or other modification;
  • Normal wear and tear or damage occurring outside normal on-road driving conditions.

4. 1-Year Finish Warranty

Eligible CyberMetals wheels are covered by a 1-Year Finish Warranty from the original date of purchase.

This warranty applies only to verified manufacturing defects affecting the original factory-applied finish under normal on-road use and proper care.

Eligible finish defects may include:

  • Abnormal peeling;
  • Abnormal flaking;
  • Abnormal blistering;
  • Other verified defects arising from the original factory-applied coating process.

The Finish Warranty does not cover:

  • Kerb damage, stone chips, scratches, abrasions, impacts, or other physical damage;
  • Normal wear and tear, fading, staining, or discolouration caused by use or environmental exposure;
  • Brake dust corrosion, road salts, chemicals, acid-based cleaners, or unsuitable wheel cleaning products;
  • Damage caused by neglect, improper cleaning, abrasive cleaning methods, or high-pressure cleaning;
  • Damage caused during tyre fitting, tyre removal, wheel balancing, installation, servicing, or repair;
  • Any wheel that has been repaired, refinished, repainted, powder-coated, polished, machined, or otherwise altered by a third party;
  • Polished or electroplated finishes.

All Finish Warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification by CyberMetals. The Finish Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects in the original factory-applied finish and does not cover deterioration or damage caused by use, maintenance, installation, environmental exposure, or external factors.

5. Claims Process

If you believe your wheel has experienced a structural or finish-related defect covered by this warranty, please contact CyberMetals Support through our official channels.

Warranty claims should include:

  • Clear photos showing the affected area(s);
  • A clear photo of the complete wheel;
  • A photo of the vehicle with the wheel installed, where applicable;
  • Proof of purchase, including the order number or invoice;
  • Current tyre specifications fitted to the wheel;
  • Any additional photos, videos, tyre pressure information, or supporting information requested by CyberMetals.

CyberMetals may request further information or require the affected product to be returned for physical inspection before determining the outcome of a claim.

Submitting information or returning a product for assessment does not, by itself, confirm that a manufacturing defect exists or that the claim has been approved.

6. Warranty Assessment & Resolution

Once all required information has been received, CyberMetals will assess the claim and determine whether the issue falls within the applicable warranty coverage.

If a claim is approved under this voluntary warranty, CyberMetals may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the affected wheel where appropriate;
  • Replace the affected wheel with the same or an equivalent model;
  • Provide an alternative resolution where the original product is no longer available.

Warranty coverage applies only to the individual product confirmed to have a covered defect and does not automatically extend to other wheels in the same set.

Unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law, this voluntary warranty does not cover tyre fitting, wheel installation or removal, balancing, labour, vehicle downtime, inconvenience, loss of use, consequential expenses, or other indirect costs.

7. Freight & Product Inspection

Where a product must be returned for warranty assessment, CyberMetals will provide return instructions before shipment.

Return freight arrangements and responsibility for associated costs will depend on the nature of the claim and the outcome of the assessment.

Where a verified manufacturing defect is confirmed and the applicable warranty covers the issue, CyberMetals will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

All warranty returns must be pre-approved by CyberMetals Support. Products returned without prior approval may not be accepted or processed.

8. Transfer & Warranty Termination

  • This voluntary warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser;
  • Second-hand, transferred, or resold products are not covered under this voluntary warranty;
  • Warranty coverage may be voided where the product has been improperly installed, modified, repaired, misused, or used outside its approved specifications;
  • False, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive warranty claims may result in the claim being declined.

CyberMetals reserves the right to update or amend the terms of this voluntary warranty from time to time. Any such changes do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The CyberMetals Lifetime Structural Warranty and 1-Year Finish Warranty operate in addition to your rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law and do not limit, restrict, or exclude those rights in any way.
